The closest station is Oxford, which is served by Virgin Trains, Thames Trains, and First Great Western. From Oxford Station the best plan is to take a bus to Witney, and from there a bus to Bampton.

Alternatively, you can catch the service 18 from Castle Street, which takes you direct to Bampton - but only Mondays through Saturdays, from around 08.15 to 18.00. The buses from Oxford to Witney are, during weekdays and Saturdays, very frequent - 10 to 15 minute intervals. The buses between Witney and Bampton run about every hour, but only up until around 6pm. After this time, the bus service stops.

There is as yet no Sunday bus service from to Bampton.

Taxis cost about £12 one-way between Witney and Bampton.

By Bus

The closest main bus station is Oxford. There is a frequent bus service between the Heathrow and Gatwick airports to Oxford - at roughly half-hour intervals - and also between the Victoria train station in London and Oxford.

Other towns and cities have connecting bus services to Oxford so check with your bus operators to find out the most convenient route for you.
